BIG DAY OUT 2014 Line-Up Announcement

Another year, another Big Day Out . Following on from a massive line-up last year, Big Day Out organisers have thrown together what is one of the biggest line-ups to date.

This year the line-up is filled with triple j indie favourites and dance floor bangers. Artists from Major Lazer to Portugal. The Man have been announced, but the biggest surprise is the three notable headliners Pearl Jam, Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion and Blur . The three headliners alone are enough to sell the pricey $185 ticket, but throw in Arcade Fire , Tame Impala , Flume , Mac Miller and The Lumineers and you have a sure fire hit.

The organisers have gone above and beyond, providing us with killer ‘middle-tier’ acts such as The Naked And Famous, Flosstradamus, Grouplove and Toro Y Moi . There is a notable absence of Aussie hip hop with only PEZ making the cut at this stage. Aussie rock n Roll group Kingswood will also be making appearance as will DZ Deathrays but the line-up is drastically different from previous years. The distinction between the 2011 line-up to the 2014 alone is monumental.

Bands such as Tool and Rammstein have been replaced by Arcade Fire and the ‘Big Snoopy D-O-double-jizzle’. The metal heads may be a little disappointed but those indie kids will feel much more at home.
