Berlin based producer Jian Kellett Liew (aka Kyson ) has just released the perfect chill-out ambient track ‘ Missing Things ‘ off his soon to be released debut LP The Water’s Way. Kyson, who studied and lived in Adelaide before moving to Berlin, has released some pretty impressive remixes lately, including this killer hour-long mixtape for the website Portals . However his latest original track reveals a mellow, pensive soundscape that layers synth key chords, thick echoey vocals and relaxed tinkering percussion. It’s a syrupy listen as all the layers mould into a polished track that could easily be the soundtrack to a mellow Melbourne winters day.
The neat little LA label Friends of Friends will release The Water’s Way on September 24th. In the meantime we can ponder over the tracklist he’s released and check out the beautiful artwork by UK freelancer Hannah Adamaszek .
