I have been overflowing with frustration for the last few weeks. Having heard the new
Flight Facilities
track ‘
I Didn’t Believe
‘ numerous times via the radio, all I wanted to do was to premier it online for the average web surfer that may not frequent Aussie radio stations such as
triple
j
. FINALLY, the track has been released online so that bloggers world wide can embed it in their news articles and the average punter can purchase the track through iTunes.
Frustrations aside, the song is a ripper. What I love about Flight Facilities is that they stick to what they love. They don’t conform to trending electronic music fads. Instead they focus on what they are good at – and what they are good at is bringing the disco. This funky electro disco jam features Elizabeth Rose on vocals contributing to the killer 80s dance vibe.
Their influences stem from a range of music and we were lucky enough to be exposed to them through their Triple J mix up series. The mix up series featured four mixes, aka the decades, spanning over a time span of forty years and included their favourite songs from 1972 to 2012. Scrolling through the track listing from the mix ups, especially 1972 – 1992, you can see where they got their inspiration for ‘I Didn’t Believe’. Peep it below:
