This is the epitome of indie pop. Cub Scouts first bounded onto the Australian music scene with their radio friendly sing-a-long, ‘ Evie ‘. Since then, they have been writing and touring, extending their catalog of impressive ready made hits. The commercial appeal of this band has already put them in good stead to take over the Australian indie pop scene, establishing great foundations to become the next leaders of the genre. Bands such as San Cisco and Architecture In Helsinki have long held this title, but these new comers are putting their hands up to claim the mantle.
‘ Paradise ‘ has come about as a part of a new EP, but a lot were expecting a full length album. The new track is more of the same from the band, however this well formulated song structure has been the catalyst for their success and will retain a fan base going in to an album release. There is no doubt this EP will herald a new era for the band, as kings and queens of triple j.
