Beach House have just released this magical piece of cinematography called Forever Still . The short film goes for half an hour and sees the band perform many of the tracks that feature on the dreamwave heavy album, Bloom . When discussing the setting for the video clip the band said they used “various locations that are special for us around El Paso and Tornillo, starting at sunset and ending at dawn.”
A highlight of the video occurs 8 minutes in when the band is surrounded by a brigade of cars all pointing their headlights onto the band, creating a haunting silhouette as they perform a special rendition of ‘ The Hours ‘; one of the most recognisable tracks on the album. From start to finish I was keep well and truly captivated, however I am a Beach House fanboy. If you are not a fan of the band there will be not much in it for you.
