It’s that time of the year again. The time when the majority of Melburnians go into hibernation for yet another bleak and endless winter, while those who are lucky enough withdraw their life savings and head to Europe for a sizzling summer of tanning, sightseeing and partying. I was lucky enough to be one of these people last year. As much as it saddens me to see the new batch of travellers embarking on the trip of their lives, the memories from my trip are perpetual.
“ D-D-Dance ” by The Royal Concept cues such memories. This song was actually attached to a video from The Yacht Week in Croatia, which features Tom from THE RIPE and myself for about 2 milliseconds.
Although we discovered this almost a year ago, The Royal Concept finally released their debut EP, featuring “D-D-Dance.” With their ever-so-slight foreign vocal and eternal pop/electro sound, the boys from Sweden elicit comparison with Phoenix .
For those in urgent need of a Phoenix hit, The Royal Concept EP is a great substitute.
