The Remix Artist Collective ( RAC ) have just dropped their latest remix, this time we hear their work transforming ‘s track ‘ To Be Cool ‘ ( Stream the original below) . The song reeks of surreal 80′s synthetica mixed with Moullinex’s disco hues. I really enjoy how RAC take songs and mould them in to their own blend of disco meets indie-pop. It’s as if the aim is to massage the song from its original in to an enhanced version rather than strip it back alongside a beat or completely overhaul it in to a club banger.
RAC took to their facebook page overnight to announce the mix as well as their praise for Moullinex’s work.
He’s one of my fav new artists and I’m always excited about working with Discotexas . Most of the sounds in this were created with a vocal sampler. Hope you like it.
