Emerging Adelaide producer Oisima is doing something right. Throughout 2013 he has proved himself and won over fans with his rich production and attention to detail. Having recently announced his debut single ‘ Everything About Her feat. Annabel Weston , we’re looking forward to hearing more originals ahead of his debut album later this year.
While we wait, this busy local producer is spinning out a string of remixes for his ‘ Goddess Remix Album’ set for release in August. A track that’s sure to be in the mix is his new ‘ official remix ‘ of Ali Barter ‘s track ‘ Run You Down ‘. The rework is a perfect example of Oisima’s ability to create unique rhythms that swing between ambient and hip-hop grooves. Throughout his music, Oisima seems to experiment by clashing different sounds, using strong contrasts to create sparkling textures that leap-out. Here he uses Barter’s smooth vocal as his base, winding it around clicks, tambourine and swirling soft synths to create an alluring effect that sucks you in.
