Kings Of Leon have just released the second single off forthcoming album, Mechanical Bull .
‘ Wait For Me ‘ is a ballad; a non-offensive, optimistic and “reflective” piece. Guitar lines with ‘deep’ reverb introduce the song as lead singer Caleb Followill sings about relationships and waiting for the one you love. Overall, it is uninspired and lacks any real substance. When Kings Of Leon were creating masterpieces such as ‘ Milk ‘ you could tell the lyrical content meant something, if not to the band overall, then to Caleb. They were known for emotive storytelling, but now they are lyrically (and musically) no better than their colleagues who sit beside them on the top 40 charts.

Add a produced beat and a teen girl with a hint of innocent sex appeal and you have a number 1, worldwide pop hit.
When I reviewed ‘ Supersoaker ‘ I know I was a little harsh, but I cannot stand this feeble attempt to appeal to a mass audience. No matter what the sentiment. You can add this to the list of songs that I will never actively listen to again.
