L.A. sister act Haim draw from a influences such as Fleetwood Mac and Kate Bush . Their taste in music is broad, but that is to be expected from a band that originally started out performing covers with their mum and dad.
Their 1980s influences havn’t gone unnoticed as Kisses have re-done their indie hit ‘ Send Me Down ’. Perhaps the perfect act to take on Haim, Kisses bring with them their own brand of 80s aural aesthetics that sit perfectly along side with the smooth vocal melodies and claps.
Much of the force and powerful percussion of the original has been replaced in the Kisses remix. Where pounding tom toms and kicks once laid, now highly reverbed claps, high hats and deep bassline grooves stand. On top of all this the remix works generously with the vocals to create something that is overall distinctly different but feels so natural at the same time.
If healthy serves of smooth 80s grooves are your thing, then Kisses have got you covered.
