After the release of “ Sleeping Utes ” for free download earlier this year, Grizzly Bear are back with their second song “ Yet Again “. The track is another good sign of what’s to come from their upcoming album”Shields” which heads our way on September 18th. It could not come soon enough.
Much like Sleeping Utes, Yet Again has strayed away from the signature catchy characteristics of their last album. Instead, their infectious pop is substituted with complex vocal melodies which harmonise alongside scaling instrumentals. Ed Droste’s silky smooth vocals are more prominent than ever against a more developmental sound. For some, it may take a few listens, but this track isn’t without great hooks and trademark edgy guitar which interplay to make for a lush, layered sound set alongside a consistant rock beat.
Yet Again adds fuel to the growing hype and anticipation of the Shields album, watch this space for more.
