Fairchild Republic ‘s upcoming debut album is due for release around August. We’ve heard “ Villages ”, but it’s their latest “ Arcadia ” that has us excited. With an awesome clip to match, it is well worth the watch.
THE RIPE’ s Huw Nolan explains that all 4200 frames were “printed onto paper then painted by hand and re-photographed” to be put back together in a final cut. Now, my knowledge of technology extends to the laptop I work on, so video production isn’t exactly my forte. My meagre understanding does, however, appreciate how damn complicated that sounds. So make sure you watch the final result – it’s an entertaining clip.
The tune is very catchy, the hooks remind me a little of Two Door Cinema Club , though the overall sound is quite different. It’s more rock than indie and I like it, so I hope you do too.
