Well, the lads from Deep Sea Arcade are back with a new track, titled ‘ Black Cat ’. Coming down from their much applauded debut album, Outlands , the Sydney five-piece have spent the greater portion of the last year in the UK nutting out their follow up.
Recorded by Dan Grech-Margueray ( Lana Del Rey, The Vaccines ), ‘Black Cat’ is a fitting successor to the high energy, reverbed ‘60s psychedelia tracks that drew us in on the first album. Predictably, the song shows off a simple, catchy guitar riff, complemented as always by the magnetic, octave challenging vocals of Nic McKenzie .
The salivation of anticipation is strong with this one, but will be relieved in a matter of months when they begin their tour in oz.
