It’s been four months since we posted ‘ I Thought We Was ’ and in that time Sydney four piece Cull have been recording their full release for October. ‘ World Inside Your Head ’ is the first sneak peak from it.
Cull move away from their previous psychedelic influences in exchange for a heavier Shoegaze sound, sitting somewhere between ‘ I Only Said ’ & ‘ When You Sleep ’ from My Bloody Valentine. But Cull aren’t as introverted or shy here. ‘World Inside Your Head’ is confident and blossoms during the bridge section.
The video is dedicated to Nguyen Ha Tham (a father perhaps?), with a cross fading a montage of footage from train windows of hard to identify locations, aside from the Frost Bank Tower in Austin, Texas. The video also includes footage of snow towns (definitely not Austin). The video comes together with the black silhouette of birds flying into the sky, a hair-raising statement from Cull.
