YOSHIMITSU are a Melbourne based DJ collective with a knack of creating laid-back, ambient hip-hop tracks. Their sound has a distinct loungey feel that is gradually building their recognition throughout Melbourne. You might have caught them last year curating the music at The Ripe ‘s OPEN AIR art event ( video below ).
Their latest track ‘ Ultra Ball ‘ is a deep loung-hop track featuring a sample of a cute kid discussing his thoughts on ‘ the universe’. The beats throughout are jagged and unobtrusive. The progression is quite simple and nearly gets a bit tedious by the end. But the song isn’t trying to invade or assault you by any sense. Instead, it provides all the laid-back elements you need to send you cruising in to the week.
