The smooth, deep sounds of this weeks guest mix are brought to you by Melbourne up and comer, Benson . Finding his place in a distinctive genre and then working the shit out of it, Benson has developed a distinctive sound in his live sets and production that has seen him off on recent string of tour dates, backed by his new management: Konkrete agency.
Benson’s distinctive tracks and remixes have been signed to the likes of Ministry Of Sound, Sweat It Out, One Love and Klub Kids to name a few. A distinctive, deep, toe tapping sound has garnered praise from names like Bag Raiders , Yolanda Be Cool , Act Yo Age and Treasure Fingers, and over the last 6 months Bensons tracks have been popping up in sets around Melbourne.
The exclusive 40 minute mix Benson has been kind enough to put together for us this week pretty much sums up the sound and momentum he has been working with in 2012, showcasing some of his own handiwork with his massive remix of Parachute Youth ’s “ Cant Get Better Than This “. The track selection finds the perfect balance between something you can sit back at home and listen to, and something that makes you want to get up and cut shapes on the dance floor, irrespective of how spastic you’re going to look.
