Everyone’s favourite festival is back in 2013 with some big names from the past and present placed alongside some Victorian favourites. Big names such as Chic featuring Nile Rogers, The Melvins and Deerhunter are gracing the amphitheater this summer, alongside lesser known Australian acts such as World’s End Press, Dick Diver, Courtney Barnett and Beaches .
It really is the music lovers festival, as the Meredith bookers have not placed great importance on international headliners but have absolutely stacked the line-up with amazing Victorian talent. The Smith Street Band, The UV Race, Roland Tings, Vance Joy and Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes round off what is one of the better line-ups for Australian and Victorian music. It is good to see a festival with such a fantastic reputation only cement it by supporting Australian music with a line-up like that. Two thumbs up.
