Melbourne four piece I, a Man have just released their newest single ‘ Less Travelled ‘. The dream-pop track is the first taste of their yet to be released debut album.
I, a Man has combined a few different genre specific elements in ‘Less Travelled’. The band’s pop sensibilities are apparent when the catchy vocal melody introduces itself over the upbeat tempo. This paired with the unusual, yet fitting, addition of swirling guitars and a hypnotic folk sound, proves the song with a deeper texture.
The new album, with an unknown release date, was recorded with the assistance long-time production team Tim O’Halloran and Dave Williamson, and this time the band enlisting the mixing skills of Tim Whitten ( The Go Betweens, Augie March, Art of Fighting ), to put the final touches on the band’s debut LP.
I, a Man are set to embark on an east coast tour to coincide with the single’s release.
