Kieran Hebden, the man that is Four Tet , is back with a bang in ‘ Unspoken ’.
The London-born musician has struck gold with the re-issue of this exceptional track. A mix of global sounds, instruments of intrigue and electronics highlight Four Tet’s ear for stimulating compositions and sounds. A slow start to this 9:29 minute song builds tension but also draws in the listener with bell chimes, soft drums and repeating melodies.
Four Tet craftily adds instruments into the song, with a chill and melodic guitar entering around the 3:30 minute mark. At 5:00 minutes, the clatter of instruments increases, creating an echoing, hectic and resonating effect.
A vibrant and ambient tune, ‘Unspoken’ is definitely worth your time.
