I love a good cover and this one is no exception. I can’t decide which part I like best; the sexy sax solo midway through, the electronic pulses backing it up, Goulding ’s delicate, child-like vocals that drop with power every so often, or the incessant clicking that draws the piece together.
It’s understated, clever and addictive. Goulding draws out just the right elements from Alt-J ’ s original and marries them with her unique style. For me, it can’t get much better than this.
