Bear’s Den are a new discovery of mine. The trio released track ‘ Writing On The Wall ‘ as a single from their upcoming EP Without/Within , and I was impressed by the maturity of their sound as a relatively new band.
‘Writing On The Wall’ has a distinctive folk rock angle, with multi-layered instrumental tracks and beautiful vocals. While there has been a distinct flocking to this genre in recent years, I am okay with it as long as the music that results sounds like this song.
I was also drawn to the lyrics in this song. Catchy and smart, this is what will separate the sheer magnitude of bands and solo artists fighting for attention in this genre.
