are back this morning with their latest track ‘
Bad Idea
‘ which was released overnight via their
soundcloud
page. The London duo consisting of
Aluna Francis
(vocals) and
George Reid
(production) stick to their recent form of creating rhythmic RnB that is dominated by Francis’ 80/90′s style vocals. Tropical percussion is mixed with stadium hip-hop beats on ‘Bad Idea’ making for a similar energy to other 2013 releases

I’m a fan of AlunaGeorge, but sometimes I feel like that their music doesn’t resonate with me. ‘Bad Idea’ is the sort of song I’m going to enjoy listening to once or twice – but I can’t say that It has made enough of an impression on me to crave another listen. It’s as if it’s lacking a memorable melody – or a vocal hook that’s going to draw me back for more. However, what this song does have is a lot of character and the groups the groups trademark cool attitude.
Listen Out Festival recently announced that AlunaGeorge will join the ‘party’ alongside the likes of Disclosure , Azealia Banks , Duke Dumont and Classixx. Definitely keen to see what they come up with in their live set.
